Summary:
The Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Intern is responsible for assisting the EH&S department in ensuring the routine inspections are conducted in a variety of safety and environmental areas and updating databases evacuation plans and other areas. This position will work closely with other EH&S team members to ensure program alignment across the larger Alcami organization. The candidate should demonstrate excellent problem solving and investigation skills as well as, excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
On-Site Expectations:
100% on-site position.
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Responsibilities:
Assist in uploading Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to a computer database.
Issue routine correspondence, for the EH&S Director/Manager.
Assist EH&S department in performing inspections, proofreading, and updating documents.
Perform unpackaging of shipments for the EH&S group and shipping items to other Alcami sites and coordinating with other EH&S team members.
Assist in any other Database management, such as but not limited to:
Uploading data from PSS Sites into a central EH&S database.
Assist with the Reno Site data organization and upload into the Alcami database.
Assist with data organization for the EH&S Department.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in a 4-year college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences preferably with a focus on Safety.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
General knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety Regulations.
Microsoft office suite experienced, proficient in Excel and Word
Travel Expectations:
Travel between New England sites may be required but the primary location is Pepperell, MA.
What to Expect:
The Alcami Intern Program is a minimum of 10-week paid program. Alcami interns are provided hands-on work experience building upon knowledge and skills learned in the classroom. Interns work side-by-side industry leaders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment who are passionate about being part of a team developing life-saving drugs around the world. The program concludes with individual presentations to Alcami leaders.
Candidates who are invited to interview will be contacted by Alcami Global Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone interview with a member of the Global Talent Acquisition team. Candidates who are invited to progress in the interview process will be scheduled for an onsite face-to-face or a virtual, video interview with hiring managers. During the interview, you will be asked questions about your scientific and technical knowledge as well as behavioral-based questions.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
